For medical graduates from Ukraine: Application form for an internship year

🇺🇦 Medical graduates from Ukraine:

Can a doctor who graduated from Ukraine get a medical license in Germany ( die Approbation) without an internship year ( das Praktische Jahr) ?

The answer is sure:

No!!!
(and there are no exceptions)

Where are the possible solutions?

In a previous article, we explained in details the possible solutions:

Applying for an internship year in a German hospital:

One possible solution is applying for an internship year in Germany. But until now, everyone has said that this is not possible. In addition, in official replies from German authorities, this was not mentioned (see the article above).

If you want to try your luck, here is an application form prepared by Mr. Dietmar Scholz, the admin of the largest English group for doctors in Germany, “Doctors Going to Germany“:

You can use the form for free: 🥳

  1. Hi!
I studied in the Ukraine and did not do an internship year. Now, I want to go for the route of re-studying a part of medical school in Germany. My question on the group is, how feasible is it? Sometimes things are possible theoretically but not in reality. When I apply to these universities for higher semester in medicine, will I truly be admitted? Has anyone had such experience before or heard of such before?

    1. Unfortunately, I have never ever read about such a route. But if you cannot go back to your country, then maybe this is the only option left 🙁

  2. Hello there!
If someone has completed a specialist level in Ukraine (eg. Cardiology), will that be recognised in Germany as a specialist or will he have to go through the entire postgraduate training in cardiology all over again?
