โข Why is the translation important?
Be careful not to allow anyone to translate your documents. If there is a mistake in the translation or if a translator did the translation and he is not recognised in Germany (or from the German Embassy in your home country), this will cause you to lose a lot of time in your application (up to months! Really!), because you need to re-send correction or re-do the translations. The employees in the approbation authorities need sometimes up to months to check your docuemnts again. Moreover, if the translation is false or containing misleading information, you might be accused of fraud. ๐ฎ๐
โข How can you find official translators in Germany?
Through the governmental website above, you can enter the languages you like to be translated to/from, the name of the state and city you like to search in, and then you will find contact details of the translators. You can simply write/call them.
You might read in the website the words ๐ฉ๐ช Dolmetscher and ๐ฉ๐ช รbersetzer:
Dolemtscher is someone who does live translation (like in a court or television). What you search for is รbersetzer and this is someone who translates documents.
โข Our Tips
- Call a few translators and ask about their prices. There are huge differences in the price of translation for the same document.
For example, back in 2015, to translate my Jordanian driving license, some asked for 30 to 50 Euros. At the end, I found a translator who did that for 15 Euros and sent me everything per post. I only had to send him a photo of the license per E-Mail. This difference of 10 or 20 Euros could at the end cause you to lose a huge sum of money when you translate a lot of documents.
